The Asian County Board & ThaiGAA are looking forward to the first Asian Gaelic Games to be hosted in Bangkok - the fourth in all in Thailand - which will be held from 16-18 October. Bangkok has everything we could ask for as a venue - a vibrant GAA Club with a men's & women's team, a committed gang of Gaels & its easy to get to from just about anywhere in the region. Oh, and the 'City of Angels' has a few other attractions too including 8 million friendly locals who are ecstatic that all the Irish in Asia will be descending on their city shortly.

The weekend will commence with the 3rd annual Asia Pacific Ireland Business Forum from 9-2 pm on Friday, 16 October which will bring together representatives from each of the Irish business groups & gaelic clubs around the region. Registration is free, but places are limited so anyone intending to attend should register at www.apibf.com

The Official Opening of the Asian Gaelic Games will be held at the tournament hotel, the Dusit Thani - literally a 'town in heaven' & a night of Thai & Irish ceol, craic agus ri ra.

The venue for the games will be Pattana School where the pitch surfaces are magnificent & where there will be dressing rooms & showers as well as food & beverages available all day - check out the facilities at  http://www.patana.ac.th/

The presentation of the Derek Brady Cup & all the trophies & medals will be made during the Closing Ceremony at the Dusit Thani Hotel on Sunday, 18 October from 7-9 pm. The 2nd ACB All Star Teams will also be announced & there'll be lots of cultural entertainment too.
