The 5th annual All-China Games were held in Dalian in Northern China on 22nd September 2007.  All told it was a great success.  The sun chose to smile on us and everything went very smoothly.  The competition at the pitch was fierce but fair and there were some wonderful exhibitions of skill, bravery and sheer heart.  In the end the deserved champions were Beijing in the Ladies and Shanghai in the Mens.

Post games there was a banquet in the Mongolian grill in Labour Park attended by both Ambassador Kelleher and by the Chairman of the local government Sports Bureau Mr. Hao Ming.

Thanks to the Overseas Development Board for sending referee Pat McGovern to the games.  Pat did a wonderful job and the whole day could not have run as smoothly as it did withou him.

The Games created an enormous amount of goodwill and interest in Dalian for Gaelic Games.  We received a large amount of coverage in Local newspapers, on local TV and on radio.  A 5-6 minute report was also broadcast on two occasions by CCTV9 which was seen by many people back home in Ireland.
