The 3rd Annual South East Asian Gaelic Games were held over the weekend of 29th May 2010 in Jakarta - hosted by the home club, the Jakarta Dragonflies. Orang Eire, Viet Celts & the Singapore Gaelic Lions made the trip to the sprawling capital of Indonesia to compete for the honours at the superb facilities of the Jakarta International School. In the Men's competition the group games were hotly contested and some great football was played. The Final saw Singapore Reds face off against Singapore Whites with the whites snatching victory in a very tight game by a last minute point. In the 3rd place playoff Jakarta Dragonflies took the honours against Orang Eire with an MVP winning performance from Seamus O'Hanlon of Jakarta. The Ladies Competition saw a great standard and improving levels of play from the newer teams. The Vietnam ladies showed some great skill and determination on the pitch to take the 3rd place honours against Orang Eire - definately ones to watch at this year's AGG. The cup final was a mirror of the Men's competition with the Singapore Reds vs. Whites lining out - this time the Reds came out victors and scored an MVP for midfielder Becs Lewis. Once that was done it was beer o'clock. The Dragonflies laid on a fantastic meal and drinks back at the tour hotel and the "on on" continued well into the night with more than a few stories to tell the following day. Thanks to the lads down in Jakarta for hosting a great event, particularly to Mick O'Malley and John Galvin who did a fantastic job in bringing the whole event together. The 2010 SEA games were proudly sponsored by Guinness, Asian Tigers, Coke, Jakarta International School and SOS International.
