Japan GAA would like to share this with all the Irish travelling for the Rugby World Cup
Below is for the first few weeks of the tournament. Will prob organise more events for the later stages. Thanks for your help!
Hi folks,
I’m sure there are a fair few across Asia who will be traveling over to Japan for the World Cup. We’ve had some interest from other clubs for a kick around and more importantly a few good ‘sessions’ during the tournament. Here’s a few events we have planned for the early stages. Follow Japan GAA on Facebook for updates on what’s going on during the later stages
- Saturday 21st September 10am to 12pm @ Kaiyo University/Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology Shinagawa Campus. Kick around and a few games as the ground there is average at best
*4-5-7 Konan, Minato, 108-8477. 10 min walk from Shinagawa Station, use Konan Exit/ East Exit.
- Saturday 21st September @ The Craic Irish Pub in Akasaka. 2 hour nomihodai (Japanese for free flow/all you can drink- 4000 Yen) from 6.30pm-8.30pm with the NZ -v- SA shown live K.O 6.45pm
*2-6-14 Akasaka, Minato, 107-0052. 4 minute walk from Akasaka Station Exit 5b or 6 minute walk from Tameike-sanno Station Exit 10
- Sunday 22nd September meet up at Shin-Yokohama station about 2pm for cans and then head to the game. Nice green space area along the river which is only about 10 min walk to the stadium
- Monday 23rd September Training session and Railway Cup style games from 7pm-9pm @ Yashio Kita Park. This is our usual training pitch, good facility with all weather pitch, showers and changing rooms. All welcome, ladies and men
*1-3-1 Yashio, Shinagawa, 140-0003. 10 min walk from Shinagawa Seaside Station. Meeting point at the ticket gates leaving the station at 6.45pm
**Well deserved pints afterwards at The FooTNiK Bar in Ebisu
- Wednesday 25th September Rugby World Cup Pub Quiz 7.45pm at the Craic Irish Pub. 1000 Yen entry, teams of 4 people

- Sunday 29th September 4pm. Japan GAA meetup at the Tokyo fan zone to watch the Australia -v- Wales game K.O. 4.45pm
*Tokyo Sports Square, 3-8-3 Marunouchi, Chiyoda. Meet at the main entrance at 4pm
